Best Recipe Dinner Rolls

Recipe dinner rolls gives you succulent, fragrant, warm bread rolls to serve before or with your main course.

Dinner rolls are particularly good when served with a big bowl of soup. No time to make soup from scratch?

And now, here are three dinner roll recipes.

Recipe Dinner Rolls For Bread Machine

1 cup water
2 tablespoons softened butter or margarine
1 egg
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tsp bread machine yeast.
Margarine or butter -- melted

Place ingredients for recipe dinner rolls in the bread pan. Use the SWEET Dough cycle.

When mixed, divide dough for recipe dinner rolls into 15 pieces, and roll each into a ball.

Grease a cookie sheet. Place your balls on cookie sheet, allowing room to rise. Brush with melted butter, cover and rise in warm place until double in bulk.

Heat oven to 375 F. Bake rolls until golden brown – about 15 minutes. Brush tops of or baked rolls with melted butter.

Serve your recipe bread buns and enjoy!

Recipe Dinner Rolls Made by Hand

4 cups flour
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Optional but recommended: Bread Dough Enhancer. Use per manufacturer's instructions.
1 1/2 cups scalded milk, cooled to lukewarm
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
2 packages yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water (approx. 90 degrees)

Dissolve yeast in ¼ cup lukewarm water, then add to milk. Add sugar, eggs, salt and oil. Add flour. Stir until blended and dough is sticky. Let rise for about 1 1/2 hours.

Flour hands, and shape dough into desired shape. You could either make small ball for individual rolls, placing each ball on a greased cookie sheet. Alternatively, you could make cloverleaf rolls by greasing cupcake pans, and adding three walnut sized pieces of dough to each cup.

Let rise again until doubled. Bake recipe dinner rolls in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 to 20 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the recipe dinner rolls that you are making.

Recipe Dinner Rolls Italian Parmesan Rolls

3 cups all-purpose flour (more if needed)
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Optional but recommended: Bread Dough Enhancer. Use per manufacturer's instructions.
2 packages active dry yeast
1 teaspoon dried italian seasoning -- crushed
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 1/4 cups 1% lowfat milk
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 egg
3/4 cu grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp melted butter

Combine 1 ½ cup flour, dough enhancer, yeast, seasoning, and parsley flakes.

In a saucepan, heat the milk, water, 2 tbsp butter, sugar and garlic salt until warm and butter is almost melted.

Add milk mixture to flour mixture. Add egg, and beat on low to medium speed for 30 seconds. Beat on high for three minutes. Stir in ½ cup Parmesan cheese and as much remaining flour as possible.

Turn dough onto floured kneading surface. Knead in enough flour to make a soft ball that is smooth and elastic. Shape dough into ball. Place in greased bowl, turn to coat, and cover. Rise in warm place until doubled in size.

Grease baking sheets. Punch dough down. Turn dough onto floured kneading surface and divide dough into 16 balls. Place balls on baking sheets and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with what is left of the Parmesan cheese.

Cover and rise until nearly double.

Bake recipe dinner rolls in a 350 F oven until brown – about 20 or 25 minutes.
